This past week I bought a pair of 2005 Volkl Karmas. They are a popular model of all-mountain skis that were very hard to find. Surprisingly the Midwest turned out to be a good place to look for skis. The volume of skis sold is not huge so models tend to stick around, and most people want carving skis to ski blues at, say, Breckenridge. I got a good deal too – under $500 for the skis. Now I need to search out some bindings on eBay.
