Knoppix Linux comes in handy again. I removed an old kernel from my Laptop’s Debian distribution and somehow corrupted mkinitrd-tools. I don’t understand how, but I was able to fix everything wint Knoppix. Disclaimer: this is not what I do for fun on a Friday night. This is what I do while angry on a Friday afternoon.

I did my first skiing of the year at Sunday River in Maine last weekend. I put in 2 good days. It was a little icy, but we got a few inches of fresh power which helped cover the ice.
I am now the proud owner of a 16x +-DVD burner which I bought at Microcenter for $60. Did I mention that Microcenter is the coolest computer store ever? Because it is. I can burn a DVD in under 10 minutes and a CD in 2 minutes!!
