I am making serious progress on my reseach paper on the regularization of anisotropic surface energy in 3D. It should be finished by the end of the summer.

Also keep a lookout for SPSS 12.0 to be released in the next few weeks as well, which I have spent a significant amount of time debugging.

This past weekend was the weekend of baseball:

• Friday: Watched baseball all night after work
• Saturday: Watched baseball all afternoon and went to the Sox game
• Sunday: Played ~18 innings of softball, followed by watching of the Yankees-Red Sox game

I had a dream last night which was disturbing, even to me. Seems I tried to steal my research group’s cluster computer for a day so I could get my simulations to run. Even though it’s ~8ft tall, I managed to stuff it into my laptop bag. I thought I could get away with it, but I panicked when I remembered that someone could run ‘uptime’ and see that the computer had been taken off line. Also, powering down the computer killed everyone else’s jobs and made them suspicious.
