Today I discovered Knoppix. It is awesome. You can boot from the CD into a fully functional Linux environment (including KDE), without having to install anything. We used Knoppix to repair a computer with a corrupted kernel. You can also use it to fix broken windows partitions, and even edit the Windows registry!

I’ve successfully transferred this site to my own personal Linux server – a dual 500 MHz PIII donated by Dan Shrey.
